Brittany Silva -Intern
Brittany has been working in the mental health field for 11 years in various settings, including schools, therapeutic group homes, and an extended-day treatment program. She has experience supporting children and adolescents ages 5-18, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges and adults experiencing major life challenges and transitions.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology and is currently pursuing a second Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University. Brittany takes a client-centered approach that fosters a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment. Additionally, she incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients recognize and reshape unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
