"There is nothing wrong with you. Something happened to you. That's different" - Dr. Holly Richmond, PhD
Ana offers a collaborative and personalized approach to treatment, with a healthy dose of humor and warmth. She believes the biggest success to your treatment is the therapeutic relationship that is developed in the therapy room - your ability to feel seen, safe, and heard in the presence of another trusted human being.
She takes an eclectic approach to therapy, and draws from a series of models including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Human Validation Process/Satir, Inter-generational/Bowen, and Psycho-dynamic models. Ana enjoys working individually with adolescents and adults, 16+. She is an LGBTQ+ inclusive provider, and practices gender affirming care.
Ana specializes in complex traumas, crisis intervention, suicidality and self-harm, attachment wounds, adverse childhood experiences, boundaries and communication, anxiety, and depression. She has a special interest in working with Borderline Personality Disorder traits and its various sub-types and presentations, seen through a trauma-lens, that breaks from the stereotypical view of such portrayed by the media.
