KEY Yoga Highlights
Meet your facilitator, Dana Saad, LCSW, RYT 500.
Dana is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dana completed her yoga training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and has pursued additional training in Trauma Informed Yoga (through Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga) and Yoga Nidra (through the iRest Institute). Her Trauma Informed Yoga classes incorporate a mindful approach to trauma processing, deep relaxation, and mind/body balancing intended to treat current symptoms related to an over active nervous system. Without sufficient processing, the energy of trauma will be stored in our tissues and cells until it can be released. Stored trauma can lead not only to depression and anxiety, but to physical pain and progressive erosion of the body's health. To fully process trauma and live our best lives, we must address it in both the psychological and the physical self.

"Dana has a true gift of intertwining beautiful, spiritual readings with her yoga practice. She effortlessly weaves the messages in through the poses throughout each class in a way that allows my mind to grasp the concept and think about how it may be affecting me...."

Promote healing through trauma informed yoga. Yoga practice will emphasize building safety and comfort in one’s body, increasing ability to observe and be present with sensation. Through mindful movement, the practice will facilitate somatic processing and re-establish a sense of empowerment. In this group, practices will support increased pathways for the nervous system to establish inner safety and predictability so participants can nurture development of healthy relationships with the self and others. Each group session will include two parts: yoga practice and therapeutic group process. A journal is recommended. Group will run for 4 weeks, with the option to continue.
Cost $300 for all 6 sessions
