Tim Arnone -LPC-A
Tim is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. He has experience working with both adults and adolescents. He has recently spent time working in Danbury Hospital’s Intensive Outpatient Programs, where he has run group therapies focused on helping individuals after psychiatric hospital stays. Through this experience he has found a love of working in group and family settings, and believes that peer support is one of the greatest therapeutic forces.
Tim’s style operates from a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) perspective, focusing on helping clients to address the things that are within their control. Tim believes that communication is key to any healthy relationship, and brings this mindset to all of his counseling. He has helped clients address challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, sexuality, trauma, and loss. Tim’s counseling sessions are built on a collaborative model where client and therapist work as a team. This is a human journey where they work together to form a bond built on openness and authenticity. The process is structured around goals set by the client, and flows at a rate they are comfortable with. While there is work to be done, Tim believes in focusing on client strengths and tries to incorporate joy and laughter into the therapeutic process.
