Emi Fukuda -LPC

Emi is a Connecticut State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degrees in Education and Psychological Counseling. As a Family Therapist, she is skilled in working with different family configurations including couples, whole families, children and adolescents experiencing complex family dynamics and other concerns such as anxiety, depression and parenting issues. Emi has been trained in many modalities including Motivational Interviewing, especially effective for persistent problematic behaviors, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Multi-Systemic Therapy and  Brief Strategic Family Therapy. Emi applies her knowledge and experience to understand and accommodate the client's individual needs and goals.

Emi is client focused, kind and has an easy-going nature. Born and raised in Peru as a Japanese-Peruvian, she speaks English and fluent Spanish as well as conversational Japanese. Emi has a genuine wish to help others, which can be felt by all of her clients.
