Sam Wray -Intern
Hi, I’m Sam! I work with children, adolescents, and adults seeking support with anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, transitions, and overwhelming emotions. I welcome clients know exactly what they hope to get from therapy, as well as those whose current plan is essentially “please help.”
Before entering the counseling field, I spent more than a decade supporting children and their families as a developmental specialist. My experience with emotional regulation, child development, communication, neurodiversity, and autism taught me to look beneath behavior, stay curious about each person’s experience, and recognize that there is no single “right” way to think, communicate, or move through the world.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern and graduate student at Sacred Heart University, I strive to create a space where you can drop the performance, be a little messy, and feel genuinely accepted as we work toward meaningful change together.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy live music, creative projects, and spending time in nature.
