Tomer Harel -LMFTA
Tomér is in the Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate program at Southern Connecticut State University. He has been practicing Yoga for fifteen years and teaching for five, after working in Human Resources for twenty years. Tomér always knew from a young age that his destiny was in service of others. While Yoga offers much grounding and self-fulfillment to share with his students, he felt the need to take his work of mental regulation further.
Tomér believes Yoga is not about being good at Yoga it is about being good to yourself, much like therapy. He is a big fan of Emotionally Focused Therapy, and finding the meaning behind our emotions, assessing, validating, and using them as steppingstones for growth. Tomér naturally loves to incorporate Yoga in his therapeutic process, specifically grounding breathing exercises which he believes allow us to shift the focus from outside to within. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community he is passionate about inclusivity and sharing a safe space for all.
